One of my goals for 2021 was to take my skincare more seriously. Meaning investing in good clean products, facials, and bettering my regime at home. So when Raeskin Essentials reach out for a review, I quickly was on board because it aligned with my skin care goals. Raeskin Essentials is a natural skin, hair, and wellness store. One thing I love about Raeskin is that 99% of their store is organic and free of preservatives and parabens!
Upon first impression opening the box, I loved the packaging. Very natural with the bamboo accents and lids. I also loved the colors of the serum and how the Bright has actual rose petals in the product. Only critique I would give is that I wish the bottles were glass and had better dispensers. Droppers for the serums would be amazing! I recently had to travel home and brought the products with me. I love the bottles are compact and easy to travel with. Don’t be confused by compact cause I’ve been using the product for three months and a little goes a long way which I get more into below.
My Skin Pre Raeskin
My skin type is combination and some of my skin concerns were hyperpigmentation, acne scars on my cheeks, dry spots, lack of a smooth texture & glow. Here’s a list of products I’ve been using:
Indigo 8
The magical oil I’d like to call it. Its a serum and toner and it helps with inflammation. So if you have any breakouts this should be your go to out of this line. I love using this serum under my makeup. Its a perfect base under my foundation, giving me and dewy glow and pore-less finish. Sometimes I get breakouts on my chest so I love using this oil on my body because it clears up any breakouts and i don’t get any scarring if I use this product and don’t pick at at my acne.
Bright – 7
Holy. Grail! This is by far my favorite product from the line. This is also a serum and cleanser. I use this mostly at night and it has been help tremendously with my hyperpigmentation and overall texture of my skin. I love the smell and the fact actual flower petals are in the bottle.
Green Tea Cleanser
Now I’m not going to lie, when I first tried this product I was thrown off and not a fan. It was because it didn’t lather like cleansers I was use to. But I wanted to give the cleanser a fair chance and chose to keep using. After about a month a using I noticed I no longer got the dry spots on my nose and my skin feels so soft and hydrated. I even tested it out and used my old cleanser and immediate noticed my skin felt tight.
Glycolic Toner
This stuff is potent. My skin a little sensitive for this product to use on a daily basis. However, I use this on a weekly basis all over my face at night and to spot treat breakouts as needed. Whenever I have a pimple, I use this on a Q tip and spot treat. Literally the next morning my pimple is gone!
Facial Toning Cream
This whipped toning cream feels so good on my skin. I typically use it following the serum and let it penetrate my skin. This cream will help even out your skin tone and get rid of any discoloration. It’s very lightweight and goes well under my makeup as well.
Pomegranate Mimosa
This scrub smells so yummy! I don’t really like to use scrubs on my face because it’s super sensitive. But I do use this weekly on my body. Especially my legs prior to shaving to give me a closer smoother shave. It always leaves my skin bright and glowing. I use the Indigo 8 following the exfoliant and shave.
Body Butter (unscented)
I am OBSESSED with this butter! I love that it comes unscented cause I want all the benefits but choose my scent with my perfumes. This just melts into your skin like butter. My favorite way to use this is following the Pomegranate Mimosa Scrub & Indigo 8. Leaves my skin looking hydrated and glowing. Here is a demo of my body glow routine!!
After Using Raeskin
Now back to my face. After using Raeskin Essentials I’ve noticed my skin tone is starting to even out and it has this amazing glow. I don’t really get too many dry spots since the cleansers are oil based. The texture of my skin and acne scars I’m still working on. But I’m hopeful because I’ve seen some amazing results on other customers! See below!
In addition to this being an incredible luxury product line I love that Raeskin Essentials is also black woman owned. I love that that they highlight natural beauty. After a couple months of using the product I’m pleased. I love how my skin feels so soft and hydrated. I’ve always been confident but now even more so without my makeup on.
