what-to-wear-to-work-on-chilly-spring-days-casual

Although yesterday may have been the first day of spring, Florida’s weather is spring…ISH. It’s not freezing where I need a winter coat. So what’s the perfect staple piece for chilly spring days? Blazers, duh! It’s the perfect layering piece. My favorite spring blazer look is when paired with jeans and a t-shirt. Or a blouse if you work in a business casual corporate setting like me.

Every time I go thrifting, my first stop is the blazer section. Both women and men (for thrifting tips, click here). Out of all the blazers I’ve gotten, this one is by far my favorite. The fit is perfect, no need for a tailor. Plus I’m obsessed with color and houndstooth plaid print! The color also works for any season.

One my weekly Target run, I always visit the clearance area. They had a plethora of shoes up to 50% off! I shop on a budget, so that made it hard to choose one or two pair (insert crying emoji). On my Instagram stories I did a poll asking my IG friends to help me decide on a pair. These block heel mules won by a landslide! To join in the fun, make sure you’re following me on Instagram to get in on my random shopping trips.

P.S. before you go. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to my newsletter. I’m relaunching it soon and I look forward to sharing some goodies with you! To sign up, simply click here!

Fishnets & Paper-Bag PantsMonday’s are normally a drag for me, but today I’m excited because it’s a three day work week! Over the weekend I finalized my Thanksgiving menu, took photo’s for the blog, had lunch with my girls, did some shopping, and stalked all the black Friday ads. Somewhat productive, right?  View Post

I don’t know about you, but this week is flying by! Let not even get on 2017 lol. I swear being a mom every year slips by me and my not so little girl is growing up on me. Kyleah is 11 years old and in middle school {insert crying emoji here lol}. She is growing like a weed and is all legs. I’m finding myself having to shop for Kyleah on a monthly basis verses seasonally. She is growing out of everything!

Happy Hump Day Foxxes! We have made it half way through the week and I don’t know about you but I’m ready for the weekend. To bring some weekend vibes to a everyday work look I added some edgy flair with a leather wrap skirt and denim chambray button top. The older I get the more I find myself buying basic pieces, kinda like a capsule wobsrobe (post coming on that soon). This allows me to pair different basic items and create different looks. Everyone needs a black skirt for work, why not buy one with some flare.

[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]With good basics you’ll have endless options[/pullquote]

I’m that person that doesn’t like throwing good pieces away. You’ll never see me wear something once and throw it away lol. My Grandma bought me these boots almost 10 years ago and I refuse to get rid of them. Something about breaking in a good pair of shoes, you never want to give them up. So for that reason I couldn’t find the exact same shoes but something similar.

I want to hear from you. Let me know in the comments below you favorite fashion piece to wear to work?

xoxo
