If you haven’t noticed from my IG feed, I’m obsessed with blazers. Add mixing textures to that list. The texture of the blazer, mixed with ripped jeans gave me pure joy. I also love the contrast between the blazer and the yellow crossbody bag I thrifted from the Goodwill. This look is foxy yet chic. If your not as bold to have the girls out, you can always button up the white blouse. The white button up (or not buttoned at all) with a high collar added a clean chic element.

Although yesterday may have been the first day of spring, Florida’s weather is spring…ISH. It’s not freezing where I need a winter coat. So what’s the perfect staple piece for chilly spring days? Blazers, duh! It’s the perfect layering piece. My favorite spring blazer look is when paired with jeans and a t-shirt. Or a blouse if you work in a business casual corporate setting like me.

Every time I go thrifting, my first stop is the blazer section. Both women and men (for thrifting tips, click here). Out of all the blazers I’ve gotten, this one is by far my favorite. The fit is perfect, no need for a tailor. Plus I’m obsessed with color and houndstooth plaid print! The color also works for any season.

One my weekly Target run, I always visit the clearance area. They had a plethora of shoes up to 50% off! I shop on a budget, so that made it hard to choose one or two pair (insert crying emoji). On my Instagram stories I did a poll asking my IG friends to help me decide on a pair. These block heel mules won by a landslide! To join in the fun, make sure you’re following me on Instagram to get in on my random shopping trips.

Recognize this “top”? If you follow the blog, this top is actually a spaghetti strap dress I picked up from Ross a few months back. I love it because of the dark florals and velvet material. Its super simple yet sexy any way you style it. The key with this piece is playing around with the different colors in the dress and use different textures.
Bae and I try to take time out of our crazy week to spend some quality time. No matter how long you’ve been together, don’t EVER stop doing the things that made you fall in love in the first place.
When you think about dates, most people think of date nights, but what about daytime dates? This look is perfect daytime dates! Sexy yet sophisticated. During the Spring/Summer time the key is to dress in layers and keep your heels low and comfortable. If you choose to wear shorts, pairing them with a blazer will keep you warm in air conditioned environments. If where you live is as humid as Florida, try to keep the fabrics light and airy. Lets get into the details and daytime date ideas below.
