Good morning Foxxes! Happy Monday and I hope you had an awesome weekend. Mine was pretty chill had a chance to shoot, get some much needed rest, and of course Super Bowl 2017. Your weekend prolly wasn’t good if your a Falcons fan.. I know that feeling all to well, I’m a Lions fan.. #hardlyhomebutalwaysreppin Congratulations to the Patriots on the win! I wasn’t to into the game this year, but had to watch Lady Gaga’s performance!
Living in a Instagram world where all you see is
makeup guru’s influencers with poppin’ makeup and metro booming skin! Of course they get all the high end products for FREE.99, so it made me wonder if a regular gal like me can get poppin skin on a budget?
When I was a teenager, I had really bad acne and was very self conscious of it. Even now as an adult, I still deal with acne, acne scarring, and a little bit of hyper-pigmentation. The older I get the more I feel the need to take my skincare regimen seriously. So I started to look up different skincare products online that won’t break the bank. I also found some new items that I fell in love with!

Happy Hump Day Foxxes! We have made it half way through the week and I don’t know about you but I’m ready for the weekend. To bring some weekend vibes to a everyday work look I added some edgy flair with a leather wrap skirt and denim chambray button top. The older I get the more I find myself buying basic pieces, kinda like a capsule wobsrobe (post coming on that soon). This allows me to pair different basic items and create different looks. Everyone needs a black skirt for work, why not buy one with some flare.
[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]With good basics you’ll have endless options[/pullquote]
I’m that person that doesn’t like throwing good pieces away. You’ll never see me wear something once and throw it away lol. My Grandma bought me these boots almost 10 years ago and I refuse to get rid of them. Something about breaking in a good pair of shoes, you never want to give them up. So for that reason I couldn’t find the exact same shoes but something similar.
I want to hear from you. Let me know in the comments below you favorite fashion piece to wear to work?

Back to the Monday grind. I don’t believe in the New Year resolution thing but I’ve been trying to get better at utilizing my time, no excuses in 2017. Stay ready so I don’t have to get ready right? It stormed all weekend but I tried to make the best out of it. Planned content for the week, spent quality time with my family, worked overtime at work on Saturday, and got my house together. Between checking off all items on my to do list and seeing all the inspiring pics on social media from the Women’s March, I’m kinda feeling like Superwomen!
If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you know I was super excited to find this wrap coat at Target. Get this, I found it on the 50% off rack for only $ 29.00 dollars! You know I LIVE for a sale! The quality is top notch for an affordable price. This coat instantly dresses up any look, especially a casual t-shirt dress. The boots was the icing on the cake for me. Fun, cute and comfortable. I found these boots at Target as well on clearance for only $ 19.00 dollars. Wins across the board!
Do you believe in New Year resolutions? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Sunday funday! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I know I did. Finally got over my buyers remorse and went out to buy some clothes. Over the past year I’ve gained hella weight and threw out ALL my clothes I could no longer wear, or disliked. I mean who doesn’t want o reward themselves with a shopping spree once they reach their goal weight? I definitely wouldn’t mind. But the Gag is what am I going to wear in the mean time? I thought I could get away with a few piece as I shed some pounds but that was unrealistic for sure.
So I hit my favorite spot Target and immediately hit the clearance rack. They had so many nice pieces anywhere from 30% – 75% percent off! Not to mention they had all women’s boots for only $ 19.99 but I will get to that in a later post (maybe I should do a haul, let me know below). Florida is finally getting cold weather.. nothing past 30 degrees so this rust color cable knit sweater dress was perfect. Not to mention, the $17.98 price tag was the icing on the cake. It’s $ 24.48 online, so try the store if you want a better deal. Since I have gained a few pounds since the Holiday season I went for a oversized look to avoid it hugging my tummy. There is nothing like a girl who doesn’t wear a size that is flattering to her. The goal is to feel good, look good, AND be comfortable. I paired the dress with a pair of black suede over the knee boots I purchased at Baker’s in Chicago some time ago with my H&M tote bag. I tried to link all items above or something close to it. This look is perfect for Sunday brunch with the girls or a daytime date with bae.
Side note, I’m so excited to be back blogging and had to start from scratch with the website so bare with me. Question, what type of post would like to see from me? Comment below.
